Since 2014, Pretty Brown Girl has empowered over 60,000 girls across 400 schools nationally with our revolutionary after-school program.
The Pretty Brown Girl Program provides Black and Brown girls across Elementary, Middle, and High School levels access to a culturally responsive, personalized learning environment that offers a variety of experiences, instructional approaches, academic support strategies, and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).
The program is proven to increase a positive attitude toward self and others by cultivating values including self-love, academic achievement, character building, community advocacy, and leadership.

Pretty Brown Girl has established the largest K-12 school program for Black and Brown girls offering Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), academic support, and leadership development.
We are working with girls every day to deliver our much-needed program to equip them with the tools they need to succeed. Pretty Brown Girl’s curriculum focuses on a learner-centered approach infused with Common Core Standards, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and CASEL’s SEL Framework consisting of Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, and Responsible Decision Making.
